We Love and Value Children
At Desert Winds Community Church, children are not the church of tomorrow—they are an important part of the church today.
Each Sunday, our children help lead us into worship in age-appropriate and engaging ways, reminding us that faith is formed in community and across generations. Before heading to Children’s Church, kids gather at the front for a Children’s Message, where God’s truth is shared in a way they can understand and carry with them.
We believe these moments:
- Help children feel seen, known, and loved
- Teach them they belong in worship
- Invite the whole church to learn from childlike faith
Your children are welcome here—just as they are.

Children’s Ministry – FAQs
Are children welcome in the worship service?
Yes. Children worship with their families, help open the service, and gather for a brief Children’s
Message before heading off to Children’s Church.
What happens in Children’s Church?
Kids experience age-appropriate, Bible-centered teaching in a safe, joyful environment where they
learn about Jesus and build friendships.
How is my child kept safe?
All volunteers are background-checked and trained, with clear check-in and pick-up procedures each
Sunday.
What if my child is nervous or has special needs?
That’s okay. Parents may walk children to class, stay with them, or talk with our team about how we
can best support their child.
Do we have to be regular attenders?
No. Whether visiting for the first time or attending regularly, your children are always welcome.
